What Floats My Boat

feminismis4everyone:

Brownie Wise became the first woman to make the cover of Business Week magazine in 1954 as the vice president of Tupperware and developer of the “party plan” system of marketing. She was also a BAMF who commanded the male-dominated executive board of the Tupperware Corporation while seated in a wicker peacock chair.

On a related note, I would highly recommend the documentary Tupperware! - part of PBS’s “American Experience” series. Watched it in my SWAG class today. ; )
